Scarlet Blaze Wattle is an extraordinary native tree renowned for its rare red flowers and exceptional fast growth that creates stunning displays in Australian gardens. This unique cultivar was discovered in 1995 as a single red-flowering plant near Murrindindi, making it one of the rarest wattle forms available. Unlike typical yellow-flowered Cinnamon Wattles, this remarkable specimen produces masses of brilliant red globular flowers that create spectacular seasonal displays and attract nectar-feeding birds. The attractive bipinnate foliage provides fine-textured evergreen coverage with excellent shade tolerance. Fast-growing and adaptable once established, it thrives in well-drained soils and full sun to partial shade positions, particularly well-suited to dry shade conditions. Perfect for feature plantings, fast screening, and areas where rare red-flowered natives with rapid growth create memorable landscape statements.
Acacia leprosa naturally occurs in southeastern Australia, thriving in well-drained soils with good drainage and full sun to partial shade exposure in temperate climates with excellent adaptability to various soil conditions.
