NSW Christmas Bush is a variable and popular large shrub or small tree, with cream flowers in late spring followed by enlarged, usually reddish, petal-like sepals at Christmas. Slow-growing but can become considerably larger with age, it is a spectacular feature plant and a source of beautiful cut flowers during the festive season.
NSW Christmas Bush occurs naturally in eastern New South Wales in heathlands and open forests, preferring well-drained soils in full sun to partial shade.
