Olearia phlogopappa ‘Blue’ is a medium-sized native shrub with soft grey foliage and bright, daisy-like blue flowers. While naturally bushy, it benefits from pruning after flowering to maintain a compact shape. White and pink flowering forms are also available. Its lower stems can become woody over time, so it’s ideal to plant lower shrubs in front to soften its base. A striking choice for layered native plantings and mixed borders.
Native to southeastern Australia, including Tasmania and Victoria, commonly found in moist forests and subalpine zones. Thriving in well-drained soils with salt tolerance and good air circulation.
