Habitat

Anigozanthos flavidus is native to south-western Western Australia, where it naturally grows in open woodlands and forest margins on sandy to sandy-loam, well-drained soils. It is adapted to a Mediterranean climate with hot, dry summers and cool, wet winters, thriving in full sun to light open shade. This species is drought tolerant once established, prefers free-draining sites such as gentle slopes, and is well suited to coastal and inland garden conditions.
