Honeypot Dryandra is a striking native shrub renowned for its golden-yellow flower heads and distinctive silvery-white foliage that creates stunning contrast in dry garden settings. This hardy species produces rounded flower heads up to 8cm across in bright golden tones that attract honeyeaters and other nectar-feeding birds while the deeply lobed leaves display beautiful silvery undersides. The attractive foliage provides year-round interest with its unique white-backed leaves creating silvery highlights in the garden. Extremely drought tolerant and hardy once established, it thrives in well-drained sandy soils and full sun positions. Perfect for dry gardens, water-wise plantings, and areas where distinctive foliage combined with spectacular flowering creates low-maintenance garden displays.
Banksia nivea naturally occurs in southwestern Western Australia, thriving in sandy, well-drained soils with excellent drainage and full sun exposure in Mediterranean-type climates with low rainfall.
