Description
Dense, rounded shrub with strongly branched stems and fine, linear leaves densely covered in white to grey-white hairs, giving the plant a silvery appearance. Produces small, cream to yellowish compound flower heads from late spring through autumn. Naturally forms a compact, cushion-like habit and responds to light pruning, although older plants can become woody and open if cut back too hard. Suited to full sun and sharply drained soils, particularly sandy or gravelly sites. Tolerates salt spray, alkaline soils, strong winds and extended dry periods.

Habitat
Occurs along the southern Australian coast from Western Australia through South Australia, Victoria and Tasmania, in coastal dunes, exposed cliffs and rocky coastal sites, often in shallow, sandy or skeletal soils exposed to salt spray.
