Description

Asterolasia hexapetala is an attractive ornamental shrub with soft grey-green, hairy foliage and open-petalled flowers in white to cream, appearing mainly in spring. Yellow-flowered forms are also available. In cultivation, this species performs best in moist, well-drained soils with afternoon shade or filtered sun, and will tolerate short dry periods once established.

Occurs naturally in open forests of the Warrumbungle Ranges, central-western New South Wales, where it is most commonly found along watercourses.
