Habitat

Derived from Grevillea linearifolia, a species native to eastern New South Wales, often found in . Native to eastern Australia, Grevillea linearifolia occurs mainly in the Greater Sydney Basin, with smaller populations further south and in the Blue Mountains. It grows in dry sclerophyll forests and heathlands, favouring well-drained, sandy soils in semi-shaded to open sites. The ‘Compact’ form performs best in similar conditions, tolerating light frost and dry periods once established.
