Craftsmanship Process

These beaker cups undergo a meticulous three-stage firing process. We start by press-molding the clay body and applying a delicate, semi-matte eggshell glaze with light speckles. The inside of each cup is first hand-sprayed with glaze, followed by two careful spray applications on the exterior to achieve a smooth, creamy finish. Artisans then meticulously hand-transfer a screen-printed pattern around the cup. After an initial firing, illustrations and the Poppy & Pepper brand stamp are added, and the cup is fired once more to complete the process.

Design

This beaker cup draws inspiration from a 1930s teacup and saucer, featuring an elevated foot and a subtly inward-tilting edge. The cup is adorned with a continuous pattern, with a windowed section that reveals charming illustrations of a bottlebrush.
