Upright shrub growing 1.5–3 m tall, with silvery-blue-grey leaf like phyllodes. Bright golden flower clusters appear from late winter to spring. Thrives in full sun and well-drained soils; tolerant to drought and light frost; ideal for contrast planting or screening.
Acacia argyrophylla occurs in semi-arid regions of South Australia, especially the Flinders Ranges, northern Mount Lofty Ranges, and the Eyre Peninsula. It is typically found on rocky hillsides, in open woodlands, and mallee scrub, where it grows in well-drained, often rocky, sandy, or loamy soils.
