Description

Epacris pulchella ‘Prostrate Form’, commonly known as Wall Heath, is a low-growing, spreading form of a species native to eastern Australia, particularly New South Wales and southern Queensland. This compact groundcover typically grows to around 20cm high and can spread up to 1 metre wide, forming a delicate mat of fine, dark green foliage. From late winter to spring, it produces masses of small, tubular white to pale pink flowers along its stems, highly attractive to native bees and small birds. Prefers well-drained, acidic soils in a sunny to part-shaded position and benefits from consistent moisture. Ideal for rockeries, native cottage gardens, or adding texture to mixed plantings in cool to temperate climates.
