A graceful shrub with arching, weeping branches and fine silvery-grey foliage. The narrow leaves are densely arranged along the stems, creating a soft textured appearance throughout the year. Small white flowers appear along the branches in spring to summer. Growing to around 3 metres high, this selection is suited to open shrub plantings, screening, creekline gardens and larger landscapes where its elegant habit can be appreciated. It responds well to pruning if shaping is required.
Occurs in coastal and near-coastal areas from northern Queensland to northern New South Wales, growing in shrubby forest, often along rocky creeks and watercourses. It is commonly found in areas where roots have access to moisture, including sites subject to periodic inundation. In cultivation it is suited to sunny positions with well-drained soils and performs well where some moisture is retained in the root zone.
