Calytrix tetragona is a variable species with heath-like foliage and profuse, star-shaped flowers in spring. Available in white and pink-flowered forms, it is a versatile and attractive shrub, suitable for gardens of all sizes, from small plantings to large landscapes. Attractive to nectar-feeding birds, butterflies, bees, and a variety of insect pollinators.
Occurs widely across southern and south-eastern Australia. Hardy and adaptable to a range of soils, provided they are well-drained. Prefers full sun but tolerates light shade, and is frost and drought-hardy once established.
