Description

Dense, rounded shrub to 1–3 m tall; broad, leathery grey-green phyllodes; yellow globular flowers appear in late winter through spring. Prefers sandy or well-drained soils in full sun; highly tolerant of heat, drought, salt, and poor soils. ; great for erosion control and tough sites.

Habitat

Acacia bivenosa naturally grows in coastal dunes, sandy plains, rocky hillsides, and along watercourses. It is widespread across northern Australia, including Western Australia’s Pilbara and Kimberley regions, parts of the Northern Territory, and northern Queensland, often in arid to semi-arid environments with well-drained, sandy or gravelly soils. It is particularly adapted to hot, dry, and saline conditions.
