Dwarf Coast Banksia is a compact native shrub renowned for its cream-colored flower spikes and exceptional coastal tolerance that makes beautiful banksias accessible for smaller seaside gardens. This attractive dwarf form produces cylindrical flower spikes up to 12cm long in soft cream to pale yellow tones that attract honeyeaters and other nectar-feeding birds while maintaining a neat, compact growth habit. The distinctive leathery leaves with silvery undersides provide attractive evergreen foliage that withstands salt spray and coastal winds. Extremely hardy and salt tolerant once established, it thrives in well-drained sandy soils and full sun positions with outstanding coastal resilience. Perfect for small coastal gardens, containers, and areas where spectacular banksia flowering with salt tolerance is desired in a manageable size.
Banksia integrifolia naturally occurs along the eastern coast of Australia, with this dwarf form thriving in well-drained sandy soils with excellent drainage and full sun exposure in coastal environments with exceptional salt tolerance.
