Grevillea bipinnatifida is a low-growing to spreading shrub valued for its deeply divided foliage and vibrant floral display. Showy red to orange-red flowers appear mainly from winter through spring, attracting nectar-feeding birds.
Grevillea bipinnatifida naturally occurs in south-western Western Australia, where it grows in sandy, well-drained soils, as well as granitic, loamy clay, and lateritic soils. It is typically found in heath, open forest, and woodland, in full sun to partial shade.
It benefits from occasional watering during extended dry periods and responds well to light pruning to maintain shape and encourage flowering.
Cultural SIgnificance
Traditionally valued by Aboriginal peoples as part of the diverse Grevillea genus, which provided important nectar sources and materials for various cultural and practical applications.
